Julian Day Number Calendar 2027
This reference calendar pairs each Gregorian date with its Julian Day Number, a continuous count used in astronomy, data systems, and technical records. It is not a reconstruction of the historical Julian civil calendar. Instead, the familiar 2027 month grid remains in place while a smaller JDN appears with each day. Select the month you need, then use the Classic, Ink Saver, or Weekend Color layout when every JDN must stay visible. The roomier Write-In and Notes layouts may reduce secondary numbering to protect writing space. The values come from the theme’s date formula rather than editorial text, keeping the sequence consistent across screen, print, PDF, and JPEG output. For 1 January 2027, the displayed JDN is 2461407, providing a clear reference point.

Julian Day Number is not the Julian calendar
A Julian Day Number is a single running number assigned to a day, which makes intervals and cross-system references easier to calculate. The historical Julian calendar is a different civil calendar with its own leap-year rules and date labels. This page keeps Gregorian 2027 dates and adds JDN values; it does not convert the grid to historical Julian dates. Keeping both labels visible helps prevent these two concepts from being confused.
How to read the reference grid
Find the ordinary date number first, then read the smaller continuous value in the same cell. Moving forward one day increases the JDN by one, including across month boundaries. For a log, record the Gregorian date and JDN together so another reader can verify the intended day. Choose a layout that preserves the secondary number when printing at a smaller scale. Check the adjacent cell when confirming that a recorded sequence is continuous.
